Kingman Museum of Natural History’s planned research program will support the study, documentation, and interpretation of natural history, science, and culture in Southwest Michigan and the broader Great Lakes region. Research activities will focus on collections-based study, field observation, community-informed inquiry, and partnerships with educators, scientists, students, and cultural experts. This work will strengthen collections stewardship, inform exhibitions and educational programs, and contribute to public understanding by translating research findings into accessible, engaging learning experiences for diverse audiences.
