Science Saturdays
NEW!
At this month’s Science Saturday on December 17, we’ll explore our sense of sight. Through a series of experiments, we will learn about depth perception, optical illusions, and how other creatures view the world around us. Join Kingman Museum Staff and volunteers at 1:45, 2:45, and 3:45 for interactive science experiments on the third Saturday of every month!
Kingman's 2012 Wish List

Fall Appeal
Make your tax deductable donation before December 31st!
Kingman Museum’s annual fall fundraiser kicks off TODAY! The goal is to raise $50,000 in two months. To reach this goal we need your help. Our board and other supporters have given lead donations amounting to $17,000. We’re hoping to keep costs low by appealing to our constituency through our monthly e-newsletter. CLICK HERE to download a donation form, or visit our online donation page and pay securely through PayPal. However, you also have the option of printing out a form and sending it in with your check or charge card information.
Want to pay at a higher level, but can’t really afford to give us $500, $1000 or another level all at once? Then select the pledge option and tell us how you want to fulfill your pledge. You have options. You can provide us your debit card or credit card number and give us permission to make a monthly or quarterly transaction; you can set up automatic payments through your online bill payer; you can send us a check monthly or quarterly. We hope you will elect to give generously to Kingman Museum. We have so many great programs planned for the coming year!
Please do not hesitate to contact Sara Ann Briggs with your questions (269-965-5117 x 10 or sbriggs@kingmanmuseum.org). You have never let us down in the past. We are counting on you now. Thank you in advance for making Kingman Museum one of your top priorities this year. Your gift is tax deductible for 2011, if received by December 31, 2011.
Where Your Donations Go
In FY2011, this is where you donations, grants, earned income and other revenue went. We have trimmed the FY2012 budget.
Charitable IRA Donations
The Pension Protection Act has been extended to December 31, 2011. It allows taxpayers over 70.5 years old to donate money to charity directly from their IRA account. The distributions will be tax-free and avoid the penalty on early withdrawals. Taxpayers are allowed to donate up to $100,000 per year from their IRA.
Your Legacy
Did you know that you can continue to make a difference beyond your lifetime? Your planned gift will cost you nothing today, but will help to ensure the future of Kingman Museum for generations to come.
You can name Kingman Museum as a charitable beneficiary in your will or trust. Talk with your attorney about your wishes, so they may be incorporated into your estate planning document.
Reduce your estate tax with a gift of an IRA or other assets to Kingman Museum. IRA’s are taxable even after death. However, if Kingman is the beneficiary 100% of the gift goes to KM.
You can give gifts of life insurance and personal property.

Foster an Animal
These mounts, caribou, mountain goat, and white-tailed deer, each need a fostering. The caribou and deer can be fostered for $150 and the mountain goat for $250. Joe Arbic of Arbic's Taxidermy is generously donating his time.
Money generated through the Animal Foster Program at Kingman Museum, pays for parts and material.
