SSS 2009Save Your Motel/Hotel Toiletries and Help out a Local Organization!

HandsOn Battle Creek, Leila Arboretum Society, and Kingman Museum are partnering again for the 3rd Annual Making a Difference at Spooky Science Saturday on October 23, 2010, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Each year the group selects a local charity to collect donated materials for.  This year we are collecting toiletry items for Haven of Rest and Inasmuch House.

earblerBlue Star Museum Partnership - FREE Admission for Military Families

Kingman Museum to participate in Blue Star Museums program offered by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). Active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2010 will receive free admission. Kingman Museum is jumpstarting its participation to begin on May 28, 2010.

Kingman Awarded Federal Grant

WASHINGTON — U.S. Sens. Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow, both D-Mich., announced a $78,918 federal grant today for Kingman Museum in Battle Creek. The Institute of Museum and Library Services grant will be used to enhance the housing for the natural history and ethnographic collections.

Hours of Operation
Tuesday* - Thursday 11:00am - 4:30pm
Friday 11:00am - 6:00pm
Saturday 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Sunday-Monday Closed
*On the first Tuesday of the month the museum remains open until 8:00pm for its Lecture Series

Tooth Stolen from Museum

Kingman recently experienced the theft of a megalodon shark tooth from its collection.
