A Great Beginning for FY2011
|
|
Kingman Museum has received grant support for projects and general operations from four sources for FY2011, which began July 1. The Institute of Museum and Library Services grant for collections care provides just under $60,000 in funding allowing Kingman Museum to install new shelving and re-house some of its collection in acid free/inert material. This grant requires a 1:1 match by Kingman Museum for this specific project.
The Miller Foundation and Guido A. and Elizabeth H. Binda Foundation provided $20,000 and $35,000 respectively for salary support for our programming area.
Kingman also received $3,300 from the Michigan NOW project, which provides federal money to non profits for capacity building. This money will be used to finalize our fund development plan and create materials for implementation this fall.
We have also received a number of Donor Advised grants from the community foundation and donations to support projects this year.
And thank you Battle Creek Host Lions for supporting our e-newsletter a second year!
