Kingman Museum’s
gift shop has taken on a new focus. It now features fine gifts
for adults, in addition to its line of science kits, puzzles, and toys
for children.

The shop now carries
100% genuine, gem-quality, natural Baltic amber jewelry and decorative
clay tiles created by James Freeman. Lansing artist, Vickie
Alexander, captures scenes from nature with her stained glass creations. Nature
and wildlife themed cloisonné jewelry is sold in special bamboo
boxes lined with anti-tarnish fabric. Ornaments made from real
leaves that have been made semi-transparent through an intricate filigree
process that reveals the leaf’s structure are preserved in 24
karat gold or iridescent copper. They are all nicely boxed as
gifts with story cards. SoapRocks® are beautiful, fragrant
soap replicas of earth’s precious stones. ®Avanti
greeting cards are also available in the gift shop.

To please the rock
hounds, the museum shop offers amythyst, hematite, jasper, quartz,
and more. Fossil hunters will be interested in the ammonites,
Petoskey stone slices, fish fossils, shark teeth, and trilobites.
